Douglas did a degree in Human Physiology from St. Andrews University prior to qualifying in Veterinary Medicine. Douglas Completed a GP Cert SAS (Small Animal Surgery) course in 2010. His main interests are in orthopaedic, ophthalmic and soft tissue surgery.
At home, Douglas is married to Lottie and has four children.
When not vetting Douglas is a huge advocator of family life and enjoys ski-ing, country sports and triathlons.
Mary Capocci - Senior Vet
Mary qualified from Bristol Veterinary University in 1998, and achieved the GPO Certificate in Small Animal Medicine in 2009. Mary has worked in the New Forest, Malaysia and Abu Dhabi, before returning to her Southampton home roots.
Mary is married to Graeme and has a young son Finn and a younger daughter Rosalie.
Outside of work Mary loves family holidays in her campervan called ‘Beryl’, who seems to suffer from more ailments than many of her patients.
Zoe qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in July 1997.
She enjoys all aspects of General Practice work especially small furries (including rabbits). Having obtained her GP CERT SAS (small animal surgery) course, Zoe enjoys all aspect of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.
Zoe is an obsessed Arsenal fan and when not following their matches she likes being out in the New Forest or out and about with the family especially visiting Paultons Park. At home in Eling she lives with her husband Andy their 3 daughters and her many pets.
Kevin works at our Park Surgery. He qualified from Dublin University in 1993.
He has worked with us since 2009 and enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine especially orthopaedic surgery and internal medicine.
Being a true Irishman he has a special interest in horse racing and can be often seen at various race tracks around the country following his favourite racers. At home he has veritable Noah’s Ark of pets including a border collie, horse, several cats, rabbits and chickens.
Amna started working at Unicorn Vets in 2014. She enjoys small animal medicine and surgical cases, but has developed a special interest in eyes and is currently pursuing some further training in this area.
Amna has a very fluffy cat called Mr Fluffington.
Outside of work she can be found attempting to complete a triathlon and open water swimming events.
Jane graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2005. She joined Unicorn Vets in 2009. Jane obtained her GPCert Cardio (cardiology) in 2011 and has a particular interest in this field.
Ivan works at our Fair Oak surgery. He qualified from University College Dublin in 2013. Following this, he spent a year working as an intern at Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists, where he developed a keen interest in surgery, particularly orthopaedics and fracture repair.
Outside work, he enjoys martial arts, computers and the outdoors.
Nicholas graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in July 2015. Nicholas has a long history with the practice, having previously worked for us as our Saturday assistant for several years before starting his veterinary degree in 2010. After graduating, he initially spent a year in pure equine practice before rejoining the Unicorn Vets team in January 2017. He enjoys most aspects of small animal medicine and surgery. In his free time, Nicholas enjoys cycling and playing video games. He also like trains.
Claire gained a BSc in Veterinary Sciences from the Royal Veterinary College in 2006, before moving on to the Veterinary Medicine degree, graduating in 2010. She has worked in small animal medicine ever since and joined our Park branch in 2016. Claire enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but is particularly interested in dental disease. Outside of work, Claire lives with her husband Celso and their two naughty guinea pigs, Florence and Violet.
Lilly graduated UCD in 2013, moved to England and started working in first opinion practice. She continued in first opinion practice until 2014 when she moved to out of hours to work with Vets Now in Swindon and then in Bournemouth as Principal Vet. Lilly is currently studying towards a certificate in Small Animal Medicine. She completed her Cert AVP (official in June) and due to sit her advanced practitioner exam in April 2018.
Lilly recently moved to Winchester and live with her boyfriend and 2 fish! She likes cycling and spending time with friends.
